This spice jar features our pretty nubian goat, Sweet Caroline, or in this case, Sleepy Caroline. The bottom part of the jar, I designed a farm scene and created my own decals and fired them on. Caroline is a reminder the importance of taking time to rest.

Stoneware is safe for oven, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher use (note: I feel that lovingly handmade ceramics should be lovingly hand washed to avoid getting chipped in the dishwasher), and should not be used with a direct flame or on a stove-top. As with all pottery, stoneware should not be placed in a refrigerator when the surface is hot, placed under water when hot, or in a stove/microwave when chilled. Always begin from room temperature or close to room temperature. When baking, start with a room temperature oven and let your stoneware heat up with the oven.
